Established in 1975, Clement School is located ideally in the Almaden/Blossom valley area of south San Jose. The school is situated over 1.3 acres area with an expansive playground located securely in between our two classroom buildings. The Directors, Mrs. Shahana Shah and Mrs. Vivian Klose manage the daily activities of the school. Clement has preschool, pre-Kingergarten, and Jr. Kindergarten programs for ages 2.5 years to 5 years old. Clement offers 2 half-day, 3 half-day, and 5 half-day programs for morning or afternoon sessions. We pride ourselves in our small class sizes with a 12:1 ratio so that we ensure your child receives the personal attention they deserve.

We are proud to have attracted one of the most experienced, educated, and passionate teaching staff in the valley. Many of the teachers and administrators have been with the school for over 20 years. We select only the kindest, warmest, and most patient teachers and staff to ensure the best environment for your child's development.

The school can presently accommodate up to 400+ students and remains as one of the most sought after schools in the area.

Under the same ownership and philosophy, Clement's sister school, Precious Preschool, is also located in the Almaden valley area for your convenience.

Our History

In 1975, a very warm and nurturing woman by the name of Miss Nell Clement established Clement School .  Knowing children were tomorrow’s leaders, Miss Clement had the desire to serve the community by providing high quality early childhood education.  In her quest, Miss Clement sought the advice and guidance from Precious Preschool owner, Mrs. Nilu Ulla, given the stellar reputation Precious had received so quickly since its opening in 1974.

Inspired by her accomplishments, Miss Nell Clement went on to open the Clement School in 1975, eventually attaining similar accolades.  Then, in 1989, Miss Clement made the decision to retire and sell her school.  Her criteria was precise, yet simple – to sell her school to a person who had the same philosophy and ethics toward children and their education.  With this in mind, she sold Clement School to her mentor Mrs. Ulla, knowing that she would maintain Clement's integrity.

Today, under the Directorship of Mrs. Ulla’s daughter, Mrs. Shahana Shah, – and through the ongoing consulting efforts of Mrs. Ulla, the family tradition of excellence in childhood development continues.  With Miss Clement’s vision and Mrs. Ulla’s experience, Clement has grown to be one of the most prestigious schools for early childhood education, serving over 400 families per year.
