The Jr. K. program is designed to develop children's self-esteem and responsibility level, as well as to establish basic reading, writing, and math skills. Children learn to work more independently.

Entrance Requirements

  • 3rd Year of preschool
  • Teacher's recommendation

Areas of Development

  • Language: Animal rhythms (phonics program), upper and lower case alphabet recognition
  • Math: Count 0-50, recognize and write numbers 1-20. Patterning, classifying, and sequencing
  • Science: Emphasis on day-to-day science projects including planting live animal visits, experiments with water and wind.
  • Field Trips: Visits to the library, 3-4 special trips (i.e. the Tech Museum of Innovation, Pumpkin Patch, Post Office, Plays/Musical Performances).
  • Special Events: Native American Festival, Winter Musical, Mexcian Fiesta
